Farm Labor Housing

FNPH is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor as "Lead Agency" for the Southeast Housing Consortium (SEHC).  As Lead Agency, we monitor and provide assistance to DOL-Funded agencies in Delaware, Florida and Mississippi.

FNPH is also a Sub-grantee under Telamon Corporaton as the Southeast Regional Technical Assistance Provider for farm labor housing in Alabama, Florida and Kentucky.

On a Statewide basis, FNPH (1) provides technical assistance and training to nonprofit housing corporations and units of government to develop, own and manage housing for farmworkers, and (2) provides temporary and emergency housing related assistance payments to migrant and seasonal farmworkers.

FNPH assists agencies in leveraging other sources of funds to lower the mortgage from the primary lender USDA/Rural Development (e.g. HOME., SHIP, CDBG).

Since 1978, FNPH technical assistance and training to agencies have leveraged more than $122 million for 2664 units of housing for farmworkers in Florida.
